On Wednesday, August 29, Tees + Jeans hosted an exclusive live performance from Interscope Records artist Boogie. The evening in-store event was a joyous celebration of the LA rapper’s new single “Deja Vu” featuring live singers and dancers, kicking off the seminal Southern California label’s curated month-long residency showcasing their deep westside roots as well as hip-hop culture throughout Los Angeles.

The Interscope Records story was told through studio memorabilia, gold records, vintage gear and personalized imagery to give visitors the feeling like they’re in a real recording session with leading Interscope artists like Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem.

It was an intimate evening of great music, great food, and great people at 1103 Abbot Kinney Blvd. The multitude of singers and performers entered dressed in all-white, delivering their soulful performance and emotive dance moves to the assembled gathering. Dressed in a crisp, clean white Junk Food pocket tee and a classic Cincinnati Reds baseball cap, Boogie stepped up to the microphone and immediately connected with his fans, family and friends in a truly open and honest way.
The energy and the vibe was palpable throughout his live performance of “Deja Vu” and the most impactful moment of the night was when his dancers lifted him up on their shoulders while Boogie dominated the packed room with his razor-sharp word flow.
